Bag Cut-Panel Kits: Clarify Component Identity and Orientation

A cut-panel handover should identify each component, its orientation and its kit membership, rather than counting a stack of material alone. Practical sample review guidance for OEM and ODM buyers.

A cut-panel handover should identify each component, its orientation and its kit membership, rather than counting a stack of material alone.

01

Define a kit from the assembly list

List panels and quantities for one product using stable component IDs. Distinguish shell, lining, supporting layers and options, including left-right and inside-outside components with similar outlines.

Define the kit unit for the project so the receiving team can reconcile it. This article concerns handover information, not a prescribed factory scheduling or transport system.

02

Retain orientation information

Define faces, top and bottom and any required texture orientation. Confirm marking methods on the intended material before allowing marks on finished visible areas.

Do not rely solely on stack orientation, which may be lost in movement. Associate direction with component identity using a drawing or card and a physical reference where needed.

03

Check similar shapes and options

Identify material references and intended uses separately where parts share an outline. Record which panels have completed printing, lamination or other specified processing.

Link optional pockets, marks and accessories to the order configuration. A correct count does not establish correct material identity. The diagram illustrates kit relationships, not an actual production record.

04

Record missing or uncertain parts

Associate quantity, identity or orientation questions with a component and kit ID. Do not make the total appear complete by introducing unverified replacement panels.

Define how discrepancies are reported and who confirms release. A pending label should name the issue instead of obscuring the status of the entire kit.

05

Make the handover reviewable

Record kit ID, configuration, component list, quantities, processing state and receipt confirmation. During sampling, check whether the receiving team can identify parts from the information before simplifying fields.

A kit checklist is not evidence of product quality approval or completed production. It retains verified handover information and unresolved matters while later assembly and inspection remain separate.
